This fabulous holiday home in Helsinki is made of pine, spruce and birch grown in Finland and consists of two housing areas overlooking the city centre of Helsinki on one side and the sea on the other side. They are connected via a sculptural wooden trellis that forms a courtyard, protects against the wind and filters the sunlight.

‘Edge Condition’ by Synecdoche Design (Lisa Suave and Adam Smith) is a temporary pavilion that utilizes a by-product material as a means of invoking the construction with wood edges cut from hardwood boards, providing a standardized object to build upon creating a field in which to inhabit.

Lovely use of texture in this logo by Philidelphia based agency. Designed for a lumber company, the logo beautifully employs the use of wood textures to give it a real American timberyard feel.
The accompanying branding brings letterpress into the mix to complement the logo fantastically well.
