Noted for its surreal and provocative textiles and wallpapers, the design studio Timorous Beasties was founded in Glasgow in 1990 by Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons, who met while studying textile design at Glasgow School of Art.

The English Oak Buildings blog is a resource created to collect and collate relevant research and other articles of general interest that we ourselves find inspiring, and which we think that you will find interesting too.
While the blog has a clear bias towards all things wood, and the use of wood in architecture in particular, it's also here to detail interior design, design products, fixtures, fittings and furniture, and other parallel reference from contemporary arts and culture that reflects or compliments English Oak Buildings' primary areas of expertise - or areas of interest that we know our clients and business partners to be concerned with.
